Prothom Alo Blogger Template – Bangla News Portal Theme

Prothom Alo Blogger Template is a newspaper-style theme for Blogger (Blogspot), made for Bangla and English news portals. It gives a free Blogger blog the layout readers expect from a national daily: a lead story with side headlines, a block for every news desk, a "just in" list and a clean article page. You upload one XML file and the design is ready.

It suits online newspapers, district news portals, magazine blogs and campus media that want a serious news look without paying for hosting. Everything is managed from the normal Blogger dashboard: Layout for the home page blocks, Theme Designer for colours, fonts and widths.

What you get with the Prothom Alo Blogger Template

The download is a single Blogger theme file (XML), version 1.0. There is no licence key and no domain lock. Pay once, download the file at once from your account, and install it on as many blogs as you own or build for clients. Updates to the file are free.

A home page built like a newspaper

The home page is made of content blocks, and each block shows the latest posts from one label. The demo uses blocks such as International, Politics, Technology, Education, Opinion, Travel and Video. You can rename, reorder or remove any of them in Layout, and add your own labels in the same way. See it running on the live demo.

• Lead story area with side headlines at the top of the page
• Label-based news blocks in several layouts, added by drag and drop
• Tabbed block and a "most read" list in the sidebar
• List of all categories, a video block and a "just in" list
• "Load more" button on the post list, so readers stay on the page

Header, menus and layout options

The header carries your logo, a top bar, a search box and a main menu with sub menus and a mega menu that previews recent posts. The menu can stay fixed at the top while the reader scrolls. On phones it turns into a slide-out menu.

Theme Designer holds more than 100 options in 18 groups: main colour, dark mode, full-width or boxed layout, left or right sidebar, fixed sidebar, container and sidebar width, four font settings, and separate colours for the top bar, header, menus, widgets, buttons and footer.

Article page made for reading and sharing

Each article shows breadcrumbs, the author, the date in Bangla or English, a large featured image and readable text. Below the post there are share buttons for Facebook, X, WhatsApp, Telegram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Reddit, an author box and related posts from the same label. For comments you can keep Blogger comments or switch to Disqus or Facebook comments.

Ad places and search basics

Ad places are ready in the header, on the home page between blocks, before and after the article and in the sidebar. You paste your own ad code into each widget; whether an ad network accepts a site is decided by that network. The theme also prints breadcrumb and article structured data (JSON-LD), loads images lazily and is responsive, so pages stay usable on small phones.

How to install

1. Download the XML file from your Themeve account after payment.
2. In Blogger open Theme, press the arrow beside Customize and choose Restore.
3. Upload the XML file. Then open Layout and set your labels in the news blocks.
4. Open Theme Designer to choose colours, fonts and the layout options.
