Overview

Mehfil is an ethnic wear WordPress theme for panjabi houses, with a days-to-Eid counter in the hero, a slim, regular and long fit guide and chest sizes you add in one tap.

Mehfil is an ethnic wear WordPress theme for panjabi houses and menswear shops that sell cotton panjabi, embroidered Eid wear, kabli, koti sets and sherwani. It dresses the store in bottle green, cream and antique gold with DM Serif Display headings, and it keeps the days to Eid in plain view.

A panjabi house that counts down to Eid

Mehfil means a gathering. In the weeks before Eid your phone fills with the same questions: which fit, which colour, will it arrive in time?

That is why this ethnic wear WordPress theme opens with the date. The Eid hero pairs a wide photo with a deep green panel, a headline, two links and a counter showing the days left until Eid. You set the date in Theme Options.

Arched tiles, colour dots and a fit guide

Shop by style lays out arched photo tiles, one per category, so cotton panjabi, kabli and sherwani each get a doorway of their own. Shop by colour shows colour dots linked to your colour tags, so a buyer set on maroon taps one dot and sees only maroon.

Find your fit explains slim, regular and long with simple cut drawings, each linked to its own collection. Buyers who know the look but not the name finally get the right word for it.

14 homepage blocks in this ethnic wear WordPress theme

Mehfil comes with 14 homepage blocks, and each one can be switched off or moved. Lean hard into Eid during Ramadan, then settle the page down after the festival.

A service line covers delivery, exchange and the pajama included with the panjabi. New this Eid shows the eight newest pieces, and Dressed for the day uses four tall photo cards with their own titles and links.

Best sellers sorts favourites into tabs by category. Two department blocks pair a portrait photo with products, and the demo gives them to koti sets and the groom. Between them, Our story holds a photo, a short note and a signature, here a story from Old Dhaka.

Reviews shows the latest five-star reviews on deep green, More panjabi fills a big grid with a Load more button, and Journal brings in your three newest posts.

Shopping for the right chest size

Product cards are cream with thin gold hairlines. Hover over one and the chest sizes rise up, so the right size goes into the bag in one tap without opening the page.

The chest-size guide is switched on, with a Size Guide page in the demo. Product pages can show delivery charges and times, a “Frequently bought together” row, your return and exchange text and care instructions.

Reviews sit in a fold, with a popup that invites the first review. Wishlist and back-in-stock alerts help when a favourite colour sells out three days before Eid.

Checkout, payments and delivery

Sign in and register open in a popup, so nobody loses the panjabi they were about to buy. Checkout fits on one page and ends with an “Order placed” popup, and the Track Order page follows the parcel.

Customers pay by bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz, cash on delivery or manual payment, and you ship with Steadfast or Pathao courier. It all runs on Themeve Commerce, the store plugin bundled with this ethnic wear WordPress theme.

The plugin adds offers, coupons, invoices, SMS and OTP, new-order alerts on Telegram and Facebook Pixel with the Conversion API. Returns and a store locator are on too, with an Our Stores page in the demo.

On phones the header shows menu, logo and bag, a bottom bar holds Home, Shop, Search, Wishlist and Account, and cards turn compact. The whole store is fully responsive.

Change colours and fonts without code

Everything lives in Mehfil → Theme Options, and the dashboard works well on a phone with its own bottom bar. In Homepage layout you switch blocks on or off and drag them into order, or use the arrows on a phone.

Four colour palettes are ready: Bottle green & gold, Maroon & gold, Navy & brass and Charcoal & saffron. Pick one or set each colour yourself, from the green of the buttons to the gold of the cart.

Five font pairs come with it: Gilda Display with Figtree, Cormorant Garamond with Karla, Fraunces with Inter, DM Serif Display with DM Sans, and Yeseva One with Nunito Sans. Web fonts can be turned off for fast system fonts.

A setting search, a sticky save bar, reset and settings export and import are built in, along with the Live Customizer.

The demo and what this ethnic wear WordPress theme needs

One click in Mehfil → Demo Import loads “Mehfil — Panjabi House”: 47 pieces across cotton and embroidered panjabi, kabli, koti sets and sherwani, with the Eid countdown, colours, fits, size guide, journal posts, menus and every page.

Pages include About Mehfil, Delivery, FAQ, Returns & Exchange, Size Guide, Our Stores and Track Order. The demo photos are free stock photos for the preview and every label and product name is invented, so swap in your own product photos.

Mehfil needs WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer, and it is tested up to WordPress 7.1. Themeve Commerce installs from Mehfil → Setup in one click.

Frequently Asked Questions

01How does the Eid countdown work?

You enter the Eid date in Mehfil → Theme Options, and the hero panel shows how many days are left. You can also change the words around the number.

02Can buyers pick a size straight from the product card?

Yes. When a shopper hovers over a card, the chest sizes rise up and one tap adds the chosen size to the bag. This can be switched off in the product card settings.

03What does the Find your fit block show?

It explains slim, regular and long cuts with simple drawings. You write a short line for each fit and link it to the matching collection.

04Can customers shop by colour?

Yes. The Shop by colour block shows colour dots linked to your colour tags, so one tap opens every piece in that colour.

05Which payments and couriers can I use?

Customers pay with bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz, cash on delivery or manual payment. Orders go out with Steadfast or Pathao courier, and buyers follow them on the Track Order page.

06Is the store plugin included, and how do I set it up?

Yes. Themeve Commerce is bundled. Open Mehfil → Setup to install it in one click, enter your license key, then import the demo from Mehfil → Demo Import.

07Can I use maroon or navy instead of bottle green?

Yes. Switch to the Maroon & gold, Navy & brass or Charcoal & saffron palette, or set each colour yourself in Mehfil → Theme Options, which also works on a phone.

08Can I keep the demo photos and product names?

They are samples for the preview. The photos are free stock photos and every label and product name is invented, so replace them with your own panjabi photos and names.
