Overview
Moyra is a sweet shop WordPress theme for mishti shops, pitha makers and sweet brands that want to sell rosogolla, chomchom, sandesh, laddu, jilapi, pitha, payesh and gift boxes online. It has a festive rose, maroon and saffron look with white alpana patterns, like a sweet shop dressed up for Pohela Boishakh.
Buyers choose a sweet, pick 500 g or 1 kg, add it to the cart and pay cash on delivery. Moyra runs on the free WooCommerce plugin, so stock, coupons, orders and payments work the normal way, and any WooCommerce plugin can be added later.
The one-click demo brings 30 products in six categories (Rosogolla & Chhana, Laddu & Barfi, Jilapi & Fried, Pitha, Payesh & Halwa and Gift Boxes), ready pages and blog posts.
Who this sweet shop WordPress theme is for
Sweets in Bangladesh are bought for joy: festivals, weddings, exam results, a new job, guests at home. Moyra is built for those moments. It fits:
- Traditional mishti shops moving their counter online.
- Sweet brands with several branches and a central kitchen.
- Pitha makers with winter and Poush Sankranti peaks.
- Home sweet makers growing from Facebook orders.
- Wedding and event suppliers who send sweets by the hundred boxes.
- Corporate gift suppliers for Eid and Puja.
- Dessert shops selling payesh, halwa and firni.
If you have compared a sweets website template with a working shop, the difference is that Moyra takes real orders: cart, checkout, coupons, accounts and order history are all there.
A festive design with alpana patterns
The header has a scalloped edge and a festival ribbon above it for your current offer, such as "Pohela Boishakh and wedding orders now open". Change the ribbon in Theme Options for each season. Search shows matching sweets while the buyer types "rosogolla" or "sandesh".
Rose, maroon and saffron are the colours of celebration in Bengal, and white alpana patterns frame the footer and section edges. The look is warm and traditional without feeling old, which is what a sweet shop WordPress theme should feel like on Eid morning.
Designed for phones
Sweet orders are often placed in a rush on a phone, an hour before guests arrive. The phone layout has the banner photo on top and the text below, cards two per row, large weight buttons, a menu sheet from the left and a bottom tab bar with Home, Shop, Cart and Account.
Homepage blocks you can switch on, off and reorder
Every block has its own on/off switch and fields in Theme Options, and you can change the order. No code and no page builder.
Festive photo banner
One wide, rounded banner with your sweets photo and a soft maroon veil. On it: a small line, a Bangla or English headline in a display serif, a short text, two buttons (Order Mishti and Winter Pitha) and four festival chips. A small seal and a "made today" note sit on the photo side. Nothing moves, so it loads fast.
Clay-pot categories
"From the Moyra's Kitchen" shows each category as a clay pot (hari) shape with a photo, a friendly local touch.
Sweets for every celebration
Four occasion cards, for example Eid, Pohela Boishakh, weddings and Puja, each with an arched photo, an icon, a short line and a link to the right category.
The moyra's specials
A grid of products you tag "top", for the sweets your shop is known for.
Chalk price board
A blackboard-style board with today's prices, such as rosogolla, chomchom and kalojam per 500 g, plus a note such as "made fresh at 5 AM". Buyers who know the old shop board will feel at home.
Winter pitha rail
A sideways rail of pitha and payesh for the winter season.
Weddings and events
A maroon band with a photo, a short text, three figures and a WhatsApp quote button for gaye holud trays, wedding boxes and office gifts.
Reviews, FAQ and blog
Three review cards, a FAQ block with a call line and your latest three posts. The demo reviews, figures and "since" year are placeholder text, so replace them with your own story.
Product pages for mishti and pitha
Every demo product is a variable product with 500 g and 1 kg options, each with its own price. The card button reads "Choose Weight". Add piece counts, clay pots or gift boxes with WooCommerce's normal variations.
- Gallery with a discount tag when an item is on sale.
- Price range and an "In Stock" pill.
- Short text about how the sweet is made and how long it keeps.
- Secure payment strip with the logos you accept.
- Weight buttons, quantity, Add to Cart and Buy Now.
- Three promise boxes for delivery, cash on delivery and returns.
- Key highlights card built from the product details.
- Help card with Call and WhatsApp; WhatsApp opens with the sweet's name.
Description, Additional information and Reviews tabs follow, with a score card above the reviews, then related products. Everything uses WooCommerce's own templates, so a delivery date or gift message plugin works on this sweet shop WordPress theme without changes.
Cart, checkout and delivery
The cart and checkout show a three-step bar (Shopping cart, Delivery & payment, Order placed), a free-delivery progress bar and a row of trust notes.
- Delivery zones: the demo sets Inside Dhaka at ৳80 and Outside Dhaka at ৳120. Change them or add more.
- Cash on delivery is on. Add bKash, Nagad or cards with their WooCommerce plugins.
- Welcome coupon: WELCOME200 is ready in the demo.
- Delivery details on each product: 1–2 days inside Dhaka and 2–4 days outside by default; change them for same-day sweets.
Syrupy sweets and payesh are best kept inside one city, while dry laddu, barfi and gift boxes travel further. WooCommerce zones and shipping classes let you set this per product.
Guest orders or accounts
Guests can order by default. Switch on "Orders need an account" and buyers sign in with a Bangladeshi mobile number or an email and a password in a pop-up, then return to checkout. Signed-in buyers get a My Account dashboard, a wishlist and their order history, handy for the same Eid order every year.
Shop page and filters
The shop page has a filter sidebar: search, categories, a price range in taka, average rating, stock status and on-sale items, with Apply and Reset. A buyer can find "gift boxes under ৳2,000, in stock" in seconds. Wishlist hearts sit on every card, and a Track Order page is included.
For a sweet shop WordPress theme with thirty or more sweets, these filters make the difference between a quick order and a lost buyer.
How light is it?
- One JavaScript file of 57.4 KB, about 14.5 KB compressed, in plain JavaScript.
- No jQuery needed by the theme itself.
- One stylesheet of about 100 KB compressed.
- No page builder, and web fonts can be switched off for system fonts.
The hero is a still photo banner, and alpana patterns are light drawings, not big images. WooCommerce and your plugins still load their own files, which the theme leaves alone. Compress your sweets photos before upload and this sweet shop WordPress theme stays quick on festival days.
Running your sweet shop WordPress theme every day
You work in the normal WordPress and WooCommerce dashboard, plus one Moyra menu for the theme's own pages.
Orders and the kitchen
Orders arrive in WooCommerce → Orders. Sort them by delivery time, pack in pots or boxes and mark them completed. Mark a sweet out of stock when the day's batch is gone.
Theme Options
Colours or a ready palette, fonts, button shape, the festival ribbon, the banner, occasion cards, the price board, the events band, every homepage block, checkout and accounts, company details, hours, payment logos and footer.
Enquiries, subscribers and licence
Contact form messages are emailed and kept under Moyra → Enquiries, so a wedding order for 500 boxes is never lost. Newsletter sign-ups are listed under Subscribers. Activate your licence once and updates arrive in the dashboard.
Works with any WooCommerce plugin
Delivery date, gift message, SMS, courier and payment plugins use WooCommerce's normal hooks, so they work here as on any shop.
Getting started
- Install WordPress and WooCommerce on your hosting.
- Upload Moyra in Appearance → Themes and activate it.
- Activate your licence with the key from your Themeve account.
- Import the demo from Moyra → Setup.
- Add your sweets with weights, prices and photos.
- Write your price board and occasion cards.
- Set delivery and payment, then place a test order from your phone.
Photograph sweets on a brass or clay plate in daylight, a little from above. White rosogolla looks best against a dark or rose background; jilapi glows against white.
Moyra runs on WooCommerce, the free shop plugin used by millions of stores. See all our WordPress themes for more food and festival designs.
