Overview
Kheti is a WordPress theme for fruits and vegetables shops that sell fresh produce online: tomatoes, potatoes, leafy greens, onions, mangoes, bananas, guava and weekly combo boxes. It is built on WooCommerce and the free Elementor, so the header, footer, home page, product page and shop page are all designs you can open and change, with no code and no paid page builder.
The look is cheerful and fresh: a centred logo, a full cover hero, orange and lime colours, and product photos cropped into round plates on pastel circles, like produce laid out on a market table. It feels like a farm stall in the city, which is exactly what a fresh produce shop wants buyers to feel.
Who this WordPress theme for fruits and vegetables is for
- Farm-to-home startups that buy from farmers in the morning and deliver the same day.
- Fruit shops selling seasonal mangoes, litchis, guava and imported apples or grapes.
- Vegetable sellers with a daily price list who now take orders by phone.
- Weekly veg box services that send a mixed box to families every week.
- Mango and seasonal fruit sellers from Rajshahi and Chapainawabganj who ship across the country.
- Super shops that want a separate store just for their fresh section.
- Agencies that build produce shops for clients and want a ready, tested design.
Fresh produce has its own needs: weights instead of pieces, prices that change every few days, a short delivery window and buyers who want to see that items are fresh. Kheti was designed around those needs.
A look that makes produce the hero
The header puts the logo in the centre with a "Farm fresh daily" tagline. A thin top strip carries your promise, such as a cut-off time for same-day delivery and the free delivery amount. Below the logo sit the "Shop fresh" menu, a search box with live results for tomato, mango or spinach, and the account, wishlist and bag icons.
The "market tag" product card
Every product card puts the photo inside a round plate on a soft pastel circle, then shows the name, the weight or unit, a large price and a − 1 + stepper joined to the add button. Buyers choose how many bundles of spinach or kilos of onions they want and add them straight from the card. The mini cart updates at once.
The same card is used in every grid, slider, tab and on the shop page, so the whole store looks consistent. Your own photos do not need cut-outs: ordinary full photos are cropped into the round plate automatically.
Inside the WordPress theme for fruits and vegetables: the home page
The home page is made of Shop Kit widgets inside normal Elementor containers. The demo order is:
- A cover hero slider with two slides, one for fresh vegetables and one for seasonal mangoes, each with trust badges.
- Two side banners beside the hero: one for your farmers' story and one for the weekly veg box.
- "What are you cooking today?" category tiles.
- "Today's fresh picks" tabs for vegetables, fruits and greens with onion and combos.
- A feature strip: picked at dawn, same-day delivery, fresh or free, cash or bKash.
- A morning deal countdown for a daily offer that ends when the timer runs out.
- Seasonal fruits, then a combo box band with a checklist, an "Order a box" button and a WhatsApp button.
- Best sellers this week, a "field to kitchen in 24 hours" steps row, a "Why Kheti" story with counters, reviews, FAQ and recipe posts.
Each block can be edited, moved, copied or removed. Point a tab at another category, change the deal end time, or replace the combo band text with your own box sizes.
A footer that takes bazar lists
Kheti's footer opens with a band that invites buyers to send their bazar list on WhatsApp, typed, photographed or as a voice note. Many families in Bangladesh still shop from a handwritten list, and this band turns that habit into orders. Below it come your about text, address, links, payment logos and the copyright line.
Weights, combo boxes and the product page
Produce is sold by weight and size, so the demo uses WooCommerce variations: tomatoes in 500 g and 1 kg, potatoes in 1 kg and 3 kg, mangoes in 1 kg and 5 kg, pumpkin as half or whole. Each option has its own price, sale price and stock. Simple items like a bundle of red spinach or a dozen bananas show their unit under the name.
Combo boxes in this WordPress theme for fruits and vegetables are normal products in their own category, so you can sell a family veg box, a fruit basket or a salad pack and change what goes inside every week in the description.
The product page shows the photos, name, rating, price and a short note, then add to cart and a Buy Now button that skips the cart and goes straight to checkout.
A WhatsApp order link and a call line sit under the buttons. A delivery box shows charges and the "check, then pay" promise, and tabs hold the description, reviews and a delivery and return note. Related products close the page.
Shop page and phone layout
The shop and category pages show products with a one-line bar for count, sort and filters.
On phones the filters slide in from the side, products sit two per row, and a bottom bar with a raised Home button gives quick access to the shop, the bag and the account. The theme's own script is under 1 KB and the Shop Kit script about 21 KB, which keeps pages light on mobile data.
Checkout, payments and delivery built for Bangladesh
Fresh produce buyers want to order in under a minute. Shop Kit's simple checkout asks only for name, mobile number, district and address, with email optional. The account is made at checkout with the mobile number, so the next order is even faster.
- Cash on Delivery with WooCommerce shipping zones. The demo sets ৳60 inside Dhaka, ৳120 outside and free delivery over ৳999.
- bKash and Nagad, manual mode: the buyer sends money and enters the sender number and Transaction ID; the order stays on hold until you check it. You can ask for only the delivery charge in advance.
- bKash and Nagad, API mode, included for shops with merchant credentials.
- Steadfast courier for parcels outside your own delivery area, such as mango boxes to other districts.
Steadfast orders can be sent with one button, in bulk, or automatically at the order status you choose. The tracking code is saved on the order, and the status is checked every hour. Buyers can follow their order on the order tracking page with the order number and mobile.
Many produce shops also use the order note at checkout for small requests, such as "green bananas, not ripe" or "deliver after 5pm". The note is saved on the order, so the packer and the rider both see it.
For same-day vegetable runs with your own riders, simply update the order status by hand. Kheti works for both: a city produce shop with riders, or a seasonal fruit seller who ships by courier.
Shop Kit tools for a fresh produce store
A fruit and veg online store gets many small orders, and every refused parcel of fresh items is a total loss. Shop Kit adds tools to reduce that risk and save more sales:
- Fraud checker: each order shows the buyer's history by mobile number, from your shop's orders and the Steadfast results of parcels sent from it, with a risk level.
- Fraud rules: block numbers, limit orders per mobile in 24 hours and ask staff to call first when a delivery rate is low.
- Incomplete orders: carts left at checkout after a mobile number was typed are saved, so you can call, message on WhatsApp or turn them into real orders.
- Facebook Pixel and Conversion API with shared event IDs for PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout and Purchase.
- WhatsApp float button, wishlist, order tracking and a customer dashboard with order cards.
- Newsletter sign-ups saved under Shop Kit → Subscribers with a CSV download.
Settings such as the shop phone, WhatsApp number and first message, Buy Now text and products per page are all in Shop Kit → Settings.
Edit everything with the free Elementor
Shop Kit adds a theme builder to the free Elementor. Shop Kit → Templates holds the header, footer, single product, shop and category, single post, blog and 404 designs. Each has a display rule: whole site, home only, not home or not checkout. Product and category templates can also be set for chosen categories, so fruits and vegetables can each have their own product page layout.
The home, cart, checkout, account, about, contact, FAQ, shipping, returns, privacy, terms, wishlist and order tracking pages are Elementor pages too. Colours and fonts are Elementor Global Colours and Fonts. Shop Kit brings 44 widgets: site parts, shop sections, product page parts, shop and store pages, and blog parts. No Elementor Pro is needed.
Anyone who has used Elementor before will feel at home in the WordPress theme for fruits and vegetables, because every block is a normal widget with normal settings. If you have not, the documentation walks you through the first edits with screenshots.
Setup, licence and what you get
Install the zip in Appearance → Themes and activate it. Kheti → Setup then asks you to activate the licence, install WooCommerce, Elementor and Shop Kit with one button, and import the demo with one more. The import brings products with photos and reviews, categories, Elementor designs, menus, delivery charges and payment methods.
One licence key works on one domain. Until it is active, visitors see a lock page while the dashboard stays open. Local test sites such as localhost or .test do not use up the key, and an active licence brings updates.
- The Kheti theme zip, version 1.0.0, with the Themeve Shop Kit plugin inside.
- Elementor designs for every part of the store and 44 Shop Kit widgets.
- Buy Now, mobile-number accounts, bKash and Nagad, fraud checker, incomplete orders, Steadfast, Pixel with Conversion API and WhatsApp.
- Step-by-step documentation with screenshots.
- Updates with your active licence.
Requirements: WordPress 6.4 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer and WooCommerce 8.0 or newer. Payments, courier and Pixel use your own accounts.
The demo has 26 products in 5 categories: vegetables, fruits, leafy greens, onion, garlic and ginger, and combo boxes.
Before launch, take your own photos in daylight, set realistic cut-off times for same-day delivery, and keep the daily price list current. With fresh produce, buyers forgive a small delay, but not a wrong price or a soft tomato. Kheti gives you the fruit and veg online store; your morning routine keeps it honest.
