Overview

Mudi is an organic food store WordPress theme for grocery and daily-food shops. It has 22 re-orderable homepage blocks, pack sizes, quantity steppers, one-page checkout, bKash and Nagad payments, and Steadfast or Pathao booking.

Mudi is an organic food store WordPress theme for shops that sell groceries and daily food online. It is bright, quick to scan and built for the weekly bazar run, with a quantity stepper on every product card and a pack size under every name.

The demo is set up as a neighbourhood grocery with rice, dal, oil, spices, vegetables, eggs, dairy, tea and snacks. That is only a sample. The same layout works for an organic food shop, a farm-direct seller, a supershop or a home-kitchen brand. Change the products, colours and wording and the site becomes yours.

Who can use this organic food store WordPress theme

Mudi fits any shop where customers fill a basket with many small items. For example:

  • Organic and natural food stores selling honey, ghee, rice, oil and spices.
  • Neighbourhood grocery shops (mudi dokan) moving online.
  • Supershops with several departments.
  • Fresh produce, egg and dairy sellers who deliver daily.
  • Tea, snack and dry-food sellers.
  • Household goods and combo-pack sellers.
  • Web designers who build shop sites for local clients.

The layout also works as a food store website template for a business that is not strictly organic. Nothing in the code limits the product type.

Light and quick on phones

Grocery shoppers have a list and little time. Pages that load slowly lose them. Mudi keeps its front end small.

  • The theme script is a single file of plain JavaScript. It does not load jQuery on the shop pages.
  • One main stylesheet carries the whole design.
  • Logos and menu pictures are lazy loaded.
  • Cards are compact on phones, so more products fit on each screen.

Front-end features of the organic food store WordPress theme

Header and search

  • A light top bar for your delivery note.
  • A basket logo and a big search box with a category picker on desktop.
  • On phones, a short header with menu, logo and cart.
  • Sign in and register in a popup, so the shopper never loses the basket.

Product cards

  • The pack size, such as 1 kg or 500 ml, shows under the product name.
  • The Add button turns into a quantity stepper (minus, number, plus) on the card.
  • Shoppers change amounts without opening the product page.

22 homepage blocks

Every block can be switched off and moved into any order. Here is what the homepage can show:

  • Hero slider with fresh-produce slides.
  • Shop by need, with four colour cards.
  • Round category tiles and daily essentials in tabs.
  • Ready bazar lists: six lists, each with its own link, for the usual weekly shop.
  • Today's price drop with a countdown and stock bars.
  • Shop by budget: price tiles with matching products, using steps you choose.
  • Just arrived, shown in two rows.
  • Fresh promise card.
  • Combo packs with a banner.
  • Promo cards, brand logos and a brand of the week.
  • Three department blocks, each with a banner and eight products.
  • Most bought, highly rated and cook something today.
  • More for your basket, a big grid with a Load more button.
  • Kitchen tips from your blog and a promise strip.

The wording of the promise strip, such as fast delivery or cash on delivery, is a sample. Edit it to match what your shop really offers.

Mobile layout

Most orders for daily food come from phones, so the mobile layout is not an afterthought. The header shrinks to menu, logo and cart. Cards stay compact, with the pack size and the stepper still easy to tap with a thumb. The checkout is a single page, which means fewer screens between a hungry shopper and a confirmed order.

Shopping extras

  • Wishlist and back-in-stock alerts.
  • Reviews in a fold on the product page.
  • An Our Stores page that lists your shop locations.
  • One-page checkout, an Order placed popup and a Track Order page.
  • An English and Bangla language switch.

Back-end options in the dashboard

Theme Options

All styling happens in Mudi, Theme Options. You do not touch code.

  • A Start here tab controls the homepage layout. Drag blocks into place, or use arrow buttons when working from a phone.
  • Separate sections for the hero slider, bazar lists and budget steps, product sections, the product page, the header and the footer.
  • Five colour palettes: Fresh green, Mustard, Tomato, Leaf and sky, and Aubergine. Each colour can also be picked by hand.
  • Four font pairs: Baloo Da 2 with Nunito Sans, Quicksand with Nunito, Rubik, and Lexend.
  • A search box that finds any setting.
  • A save bar that stays in view.
  • Backup, restore and reset for your settings.
  • The Live Customizer for those who like to see changes at once.

Pack sizes and products

The product editor has its own Pack size box. Whatever you type there shows on the card. The full-page editor handles photos, variations with their own price, stock and SKU, and separate menus for categories, brands and tags.

Orders and sales

  • A store dashboard with today's sales, the last seven days, the month so far and a two-week chart.
  • Order statuses and printable invoices.
  • A payments box for advances, dues and refunds.
  • Incomplete Orders, listing shoppers who started the checkout and left, so you can call them.
  • A customer list that groups buyers as new, repeat, VIP, inactive or risky.

Payments, delivery and courier

  • bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz, cash on delivery and manual payment with a transaction ID.
  • Cash on delivery with an optional advance.
  • Delivery charges per district and extra local zones.
  • Steadfast and Pathao booking from the order screen.
  • A COD money screen that shows what the courier still owes you.

Alerts and protection

  • New-order alerts on Telegram, email or WhatsApp.
  • SMS updates and OTP phone checks.
  • Fake order protection for suspicious cash-on-delivery orders.
  • Automatic review requests after delivery.

Marketing and SEO

  • Coupons and promo codes.
  • Facebook Pixel with Conversion API, Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Product feeds for Facebook and Google shopping.
  • SEO settings for descriptions, sharing previews and product rich results.

Optional modules

The Themeve Commerce plugin has a Modules screen, so you switch on only what you need:

  • Pre-orders and Delivery Date and Time.
  • Bulk Order and Corporate Quotes, and Reseller and Wholesale Prices.
  • Combo and Bundle Offers, Flash Sale, Upsell and Cross-sell.
  • Loyalty Points, an Affiliate Program and Recently Viewed.
  • Exchange and Returns, Store Locations and popups.
  • A REST API with signed webhooks.

How an organic food store WordPress theme helps you sell more

A food buyer rarely wants to browse. The shopper wants to rebuild last week's basket. Ready bazar lists do that in one tap, and the stepper lets them add three packs of rice without a page change.

Shop by budget helps people who think in taka first. You set the price steps to match what your customers really spend. Today's price drop gives them a reason to open the site each morning, and combo packs lift the size of each order.

On the business side, the incomplete order list and phone checks protect your margin. For a small food store, one fake order of fresh goods can wipe out a day's profit, so those tools matter.

As a food store website template it also keeps the owner in control. Nothing on the homepage is locked, and no block depends on another. Turn off the blocks you do not need and the page still looks complete.

Trust is the other half of selling food, especially organic food. Use the pages that come with the demo to explain your sourcing, your delivery area and your returns rules. Put your own photos on the packs. Shoppers who can see where the food comes from, and what happens if something arrives damaged, order with less worry.

Because this organic food store WordPress theme is bilingual, you can serve English and Bangla readers from the same site. Product names, categories and pages can be written in either language, and the switch sits in the header for the visitor to use.

Set up in a few steps

  1. Install and activate the Mudi theme.
  2. Open Mudi, Setup and install the bundled Themeve Commerce plugin with one click.
  3. Activate your licence so updates arrive in the dashboard.
  4. Open Demo Import and load the Everyday Grocery demo.
  5. Choose a palette and font pair in Theme Options.
  6. Rewrite the bazar lists, budget steps and promise strip.
  7. Replace the sample products with your own and switch on your payment methods.

Why choose it over a plain template

A basic food store website template is only a design. You still need to find a shop plugin, payment tools and a courier connector, then make them agree. Updates then arrive from several authors on different days.

Mudi is designed around grocery habits and ships with the store engine it needs. The one-click demo gives you a working shop, not an empty skeleton.

  • Grocery-specific blocks: bazar lists, price drop, budget shopping and combo packs.
  • Store plugin included and installed from the setup screen.
  • Bangladesh payments and couriers ready.
  • No code needed for colours, fonts or layout.
  • English and Bangla switch.

What is included

  • The Mudi theme.
  • The bundled Themeve Commerce plugin.
  • The Everyday Grocery one-click demo: 51 sample products, kitchen tips posts, menus and every page, such as About, Delivery, FAQ, Returns and Refunds, Our Stores and Track Order. The brands are invented.
  • Documentation.

Mudi needs WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. If you sell mostly rice and staples by the sack, or run a very large supermarket, two other Themeve themes may suit you better. For a friendly organic food store WordPress theme that fills a basket fast, Mudi is a good place to start.
