Overview
Tatka is a complete grocery shop website template built with Laravel for one shop that sells daily bazar online: vegetables, fish, meat, rice, oil, dairy, snacks and household items. It is a full self-hosted store with a storefront, customer accounts and an admin panel, ready for Cash on Delivery, bKash, Nagad, Rocket and SSLCommerz, Pathao, REDX and Steadfast couriers, delivery time slots and a WhatsApp order button.
The design is fresh and busy in the way grocery buyers like: a teal-to-green header with a big search bar and an orange search button, category tiles with item counts, savings rows and a deal of the day. Every block is edited from the dashboard, so the shop looks like your brand and not like a template.
Who this grocery shop website template is for
- Neighbourhood grocery and mudi shops that already take orders by phone and want a proper order list.
- Super shops and mini marts with hundreds of items and branches in different areas.
- Fresh produce sellers who sell fruit, vegetables, fish and meat by weight.
- Organic and farm-to-home brands with weekly delivery days.
- Dairy, bakery and sweet shops that deliver in the morning.
- Facebook grocery pages that are tired of taking every order in Messenger.
- Developers and agencies who build grocery shops for clients and want a tested base.
It is a working shop, not just a design. Cart, checkout, payments, delivery zones, stock, returns and reports are already built. You only add your products, your photos and your settings.
A storefront made for quick daily orders
Grocery buyers come back many times a month and want to finish an order in two minutes. The homepage of this grocery shop website template puts search first, then category tiles, Top Savers Today, Best Offers, Popular Products with category tabs, Deal of the Day with a countdown, New Arrivals, Top Rated Products, blog posts and a FAQ block.
Phone layout
Most grocery orders come from phones, often on mobile data. On a phone Tatka has its own header, a bottom menu with Home, Categories, Cart and Account, two products per row and filters that slide in from the side. Pages stay light, so they open quickly even on a cheap handset.
Product cards that sell
Cards show the photo, price and old price, a discount badge, the stock state and an add-to-cart button. A buyer can fill the basket straight from the homepage without opening every product.
Weights, packs and stock
Groceries are sold by weight and pack, so every category in the grocery shop website template can have its own options. Add a Weight or Pack size option such as 500 g, 1 kg and 2 kg, tick "Creates variants" and each pack gets its own SKU, price, sale price and stock. Free-text details such as origin or shelf life appear in a specifications table.
- Quantity prices for bulk buyers, for example a lower price per unit from five units.
- Low-stock alerts and a yellow bar that shows what is running out.
- Stock by CSV: download the list, change stock and prices in Excel, upload it back.
- Back-in-stock e-mails to buyers who asked to be told.
- Pre-orders for seasonal items such as mangoes or hilsa before they arrive.
- A short return window per category, for example one day for fresh items.
Checkout, delivery slots and payments
Checkout asks for a name, mobile number, district, thana and address. You choose how buyers order: account optional (guests just fill in the form), account required, or guest with a one-time phone code by SMS. Existing buyers sign in with their mobile number or e-mail, and Google or Facebook login appears once you add your keys.
Delivery zones and time slots
Delivery charges come from zones by district, with extra rules for chosen upazilas or thanas, a charge per extra kg and free delivery above an amount. Delivery time slots let buyers pick a date and a time such as "Morning 8–11", with a limit of orders per slot. Branches can offer pick-up from the shop.
Payment methods
- Cash on Delivery, with an optional advance (the delivery charge or a percentage) paid first by bKash or Nagad.
- bKash, Nagad and Rocket Send Money and bank transfer, with a transaction ID you check before the order is marked paid.
- SSLCommerz, bKash and Nagad merchant gateways for automatic payment once your merchant keys are added.
A minimum order amount, a daily order limit per mobile number and a repeat-order guard keep small and fake orders under control. Incomplete checkouts are listed so you can call the buyer and save the sale.
Orders, couriers and the daily routine
Every order moves from New to Confirmed, Packed, Shipped and Delivered, and the buyer gets an SMS or e-mail at each step. The dashboard shows what needs your attention: new orders to confirm, items low on stock and packed parcels that have not left.
Pathao, REDX and Steadfast are built in. Connect your own merchant account and a parcel is booked when you mark the order Packed; the status comes back by webhook or every 30 minutes. For your own riders inside the city, ship by hand and update the status yourself. Shipping labels, tracking numbers and a public order tracking page are included.
Returns and refunds, reviews that you approve, buyer questions, support tickets and contact messages each have their own screen. Nothing is lost in a chat window.
Marketing tools in this grocery shop website template
- Vouchers: fixed amount, percent or free delivery, with minimum spend and use limits.
- Automatic offers: combos, buy X get Y, spend and save, free delivery over an amount.
- Flash sales with a countdown that feed the homepage deal block.
- Loyalty points that turn into a personal voucher after delivery.
- Reseller accounts with their own discount for small shops that buy from you.
- Affiliates, a newsletter list and an honest "someone just bought" pop-up that uses real orders only.
- Google Analytics 4, Tag Manager and Meta Pixel, plus product feeds for Google Merchant Center and the Meta catalogue.
- A blog for recipes, price updates and buying tips.
Every tool can stay off on day one and be switched on when the shop grows.
An admin panel you can run without a developer
Nothing in the grocery shop website template needs code to change. The homepage builder lists every section in order. Drag to reorder, change titles and product sources, hide a block or add a new one: hero, category tiles, product grid, deal, banner row, reviews, FAQ or blog posts.
Banners have phone versions and start and end dates. Menus, pages, logo, main colour, footer text, contact details, social links, SEO titles and redirects are all edited in the admin panel.
You can also upload your own picture of payment logos for the footer. The WhatsApp number, its first message and the round button on every page are set in one place, and product pages get a "WhatsApp us" button with the product name filled in.
Messages and SMS
SMS works with any Bangladeshi SMS company: paste their send link once, send a test and the shop starts sending order updates and login codes. E-mail, WhatsApp Cloud and Telegram alerts are supported too, each with editable templates and a delivery log.
Reports, staff and safety
Reports show sales, deliveries, refunds, top products, categories and payment methods for any dates, with CSV export. Search terms show what buyers looked for and did not find. Staff get roles such as Operations Admin, Finance Manager, Support Agent, Content Manager or Courier Operator, and sign in on a private address with two-factor sign-in. An audit log, nightly database backups, API keys, webhooks and a system health page are included.
As online grocery shopping software, Tatka keeps everything in one place: you do not need a separate tool for stock, couriers, SMS or the blog.
Install it on cPanel without a terminal
The sale zip already holds the PHP libraries and the compiled styles. Upload it to cPanel, extract it, point the domain to the public folder and open your website: a web installer starts. It checks the server, connects the database (MySQL, MariaDB or SQLite), asks for the shop name and e-mail settings, creates your admin account and takes your licence key.
In the last step you choose an empty shop for real use or "install with demo content" to see a finished shop at once. Two cron lines in cPanel run courier sync, backups and messages.
The code is clean Laravel, so a developer can read and extend it without fighting a page builder. Pages stay light because the theme loads only what the shop needs. If you are comparing a grocery shop website template with a monthly hosted builder, here you own the code, there is no fee per order and local payments are already built in.
Licence
One licence key works on one domain. A live domain shows a lock page until the key is active; the admin panel still opens so you can activate it. Local test sites always work. The licence also brings updates.
Tatka is built on Laravel, the open-source PHP framework. See all our Laravel projects for more ready shops and systems.
What is included and good to know
- The full Tatka Laravel source code with vendor libraries and built assets
- Storefront, customer account, admin panel and web installer
- Payments, COD advance, delivery zones and slots, couriers, returns and refunds
- Marketing tools, loyalty, resellers, blog, homepage builder, API and webhooks
- Step-by-step documentation in English and Bangla with real screenshots
- Updates with your licence
Payment gateways, couriers, SMS and Google or Facebook login run on your own merchant or developer accounts and keys. bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz, Pathao and REDX also have a test mode you can switch on before going live. The shop interface is in English. You can see the full shop on the live demo before you buy.
Before launch, add your top 100 items with clear photos on a plain background, set your zones and slots, and place one COD order and one Send Money order from your own phone. A grocery shop website template only works when prices and stock are right, so keep them fresh every morning.
Use the online grocery shopping software side of Tatka from the first week: confirm orders in the morning, pack before noon, hand parcels to the rider and read the day's report in the evening.
