Overview
Kenakata is an online store wordpress theme for shops that sell many kinds of items in one place. Fashion, watches, beauty, grocery, kitchen items, toys and gadgets can all sit side by side. It has a bright marketplace look with its own green colour and clear section heads.
Kenakata runs on the free WooCommerce plugin, so carts, stock, coupons and orders work the way store owners expect.
Import the demo in one click and you get 30 products in 16 categories, help pages, menus and 6 blog posts.
Who Kenakata is for
A store with many categories needs a homepage that shows a lot without feeling crowded. Kenakata fits:
- General stores that sell everyday items to families.
- Department-store style shops with fashion, home and beauty under one roof.
- Multi-category online shops that started with one line and keep adding more.
- Facebook pages that sell many kinds of items and want a real website.
- Gift shops with watches, bags, perfume and toys.
- District-town shops going online for the first time.
- Small importers who bring in mixed goods and sell them across Bangladesh.
If you were looking for an online store wordpress theme because your shop has outgrown a single niche, Kenakata gives you room for every category you sell.
Why Kenakata is an online store wordpress theme for many categories
Most shop designs are made for one product type. Kenakata is made for a mixed catalogue. The section heads are white with a black "View All" button, so each row leads straight to its full list. Rows of products move with round arrow buttons, so the homepage stays tidy even with dozens of items.
Many general store website templates look busy once you add real products. Kenakata keeps a clean grid, the same card size everywhere and plenty of white space, so a saree and a kitchen pot look equally at home.
The homepage, block by block
Every block has an on/off switch and its own fields in Theme Options. Here is the order in the demo:
Hero promo slider
Each slide has a script line, a big condensed title, a price burst and a product photo on a coloured diagonal. An "Our New Product!" side banner sits beside it. On phones only the slider shows, so nothing is squeezed.
Product categories
A bordered grid shows eight categories per row on desktop. On phones it turns into one scrolling row of three with arrows.
Flash sale
A gift tile, a three-box countdown for hours, minutes and seconds, and a row of discounted products. Use it for short offers that need a clear end time.
Big sale banner
A wide "BIG SALE" banner with an "UP TO 70% OFF" pill. Change the text and photo for Eid, Pohela Boishakh or your own season sale.
Featured, recent and most selling
A featured products row, a recent products grid (six per row on desktop, two on phones) and a most selling products row. Together they show what is new and what people buy most.
Promises and blog
Four promise boxes, such as delivery, returns and support, then Blogs & News with three post cards. Each card shows a category pill, the author picture, the date and the comment count.
Product cards and the product page
A product card shows a black discount tag, the picture, a two-line title, the price and stars. Cards are the same size across the site, so mixed categories still line up.
The product page is one white panel. On the left is the gallery with a discount tag, zoom and thumbnails. On the right is the summary: title, stars, price with "You save", a short text, stock and brand pills, quantity, Buy Now and Add to Cart.
A WhatsApp order button opens a chat with the product name filled in. A grey "Return & Warranty" box lists the categories and tags. An EMI line under the price is off by default and can be switched on for costly items.
A second panel holds the Description and Reviews tabs, and Related Products follow below. The page is built with WooCommerce's own template functions, so plugins that hook into the product summary keep working.
Shop pages, filters and search
With 16 or more categories, buyers need good filters. Kenakata adds a filter card to the shop and category pages:
- Current Category, locked on category pages.
- Price Range and Average Rating.
- Stock Status: in stock or out of stock.
- Product Status: On Sale.
- Brands.
Apply Filters and Reset All buttons sit at the bottom. On phones the filters open in a panel. The header search has a category picker, and live search shows matching products as the buyer types.
Phones, speed and customer accounts
Most orders in Bangladesh come from a phone. On small screens Kenakata shows a menu button, a centred logo and the cart, then a full-width search row. A bottom tab bar gives Home, Shop, Cart and Account, and a side drawer holds the full menu.
The theme's own JavaScript is one plain-JavaScript file of 52.7 KB, about 13.5 KB compressed. The theme does not need jQuery for its own features and uses no page builder. There is one stylesheet, about 74 KB compressed. WooCommerce still loads its own scripts, as it does with any theme.
A light online store wordpress theme matters when buyers open your shop on mobile data in a district town.
Accounts, wishlist and order tracking
Kenakata has its own sign-in and sign-up popup and page. Customers can sign up and sign in with a Bangladeshi mobile number (01XXXXXXXXX) or with email and password. Password reset works by email.
By default an account is needed to place an order. This keeps fake orders down and saves the buyer's address for next time.
Buyers can save items to a wishlist and check an order on the Track Order page. The Contact page has a form, and every message is kept in the dashboard under Kenakata → Enquiries, even if email is not set up. Newsletter subscribers are listed in the dashboard too.
Running the shop with this online store wordpress theme
You use the normal WordPress and WooCommerce dashboard. Orders arrive in WooCommerce → Orders. Products, stock, coupons and categories are edited the usual way.
Theme Options
One settings page with a section sidebar holds colours, typography, header and menu, homepage blocks, the contact form, company details and footer, and delivery charges.
Delivery and payment
The demo sets up a Bangladesh zone with home delivery at ৳80 and free delivery over ৳5,000. You can change both in WooCommerce.
Cash on delivery works out of the box. Add bKash, Nagad or card payments with any WooCommerce payment plugin, and add a courier plugin later if you need one. A "Pay With" logo strip sits in the footer.
Licence and updates
Activate the licence once. Updates then arrive in the dashboard and keep your content and settings.

Tips for a store with many categories
A good online store wordpress theme only helps if the catalogue is easy to read. Keep category names short and clear, such as Sarees, Watches or Kitchen Items. Give each category one strong photo for the category grid. Put your best-selling lines first, because buyers scan the top row and stop.
Use the flash sale for items you want to move this week, and switch it off when no sale is running. A countdown with no real deal behind it hurts trust.
Write the same kind of title for every product: brand, item, size or colour. Buyers comparing a watch with a bag will find the shop easier to read.
Some owners start with free general store website templates and later find the shop, cart and account pages do not match. In Kenakata every page shares one design, from the homepage to the checkout.
This online store wordpress theme works with any WooCommerce plugin, so you can add payment, courier, SMS or analytics plugins as the shop grows.
Kenakata runs on WooCommerce, the free shop plugin used by millions of stores. See all our WordPress themes for more shop designs.
